Disaster Awareness

Disaster Awareness methods of getting your community’s attention will vary by location, region and state. Integrated Public Alert & Warning System Authorities will have information on available methods. One common method is to broadcast via emergency radio, Ham Radio Operators and TV broadcasts. Audio Alerts will be by special siren, or a telephone call, or in rare circumstances, volunteers and emergency workers may go door-to-door.
