Today we saw the devastation that can happen with a natural gas line explosion in a neighborhood. Imagine that you smell gas after an earthquake…..do you know where to shut off the natural gas to your home, business or condominium?
Luckily, Seattle city government and groups of concerned citizens have been planning and organizing in partnership to provide the necessary preemptive training and information we will require in an emergency situation.
Although the leak was reported, it was not in time to prevent this unfortunate event. Q 13 Fox coverage of the gas explosion in the Seattle Greenwood neighborhood covered the tragedy in detail, illuminating the need for all of us to be prepared.
